ice maker failed after a year, the refrigerator failed at 3 years. this is a known product defect and samsung needs to stop manufacturing refrigerators!

Ice Maker is terrible

i had to replace the ice maker while still under warranty as it kept freezing up and would not make ice cubes. this refrigerator has a lot of fancy features, but it can't make ice.

Plenty of Potential, but Browser is Unusable

We bought this fridge largely because of the hub, and paid a pretty penny for the feature, but the included web browser is so painfully slow that it's almost impossible to use. You can't install any other browser, so you're stuck with this thing. The Smart Things app is horrible, probably the worst app from a major, respectable corporation that I've ever used. I really wish we had skipped the hub.

False alerts annoying

This refrigerator is a very good piece. Its space well designed. It looks great and works great. Purchased this item a year ago. My kids loved it to play on it and see calendar items. I play youtube on it to see some cooking lessons. All is well until few weeks ago. It started giving false alarm as door is opened. There is nothing wrong with the door. Checked it thoroughly and found nothing with the door. Looks like some sensors not working properly. Now these false alarms started annoying on my phone, on the refrigerator and even sounds scared our cat! There is no option that I can set to ignore these false alarms. Only option is to turn off the smart system. That is not acceptable!

Splurge on Family Hub. It's worth the expense

Enjoying having web access to recipe and shopping sites. Multiple timer functionality is a great feature. My only complaint is the counter-width model have very limited space in the ice maker door. I would have preferred it with the drink access door instead of the water/ice dispenser,, but unfortunately that is not an option

I only got this a few days ago--no question it is smarter than I am--the family hub is incredible--but I was disappointed to know that you can't add heart radio stations--there are only about 20 offered-- and I am interested in only 3 of them. This shortcoming was confirmed by a tech rep this morning. Also I added photos to my gallery--this morning I had a message that my device was out of date and needed a factory reset---all photos are gone

After a year of living with it I could beat myself

This is my 3rd Samsung refrigerator. I can't believe I let myself fall for the "wow" factor of the big screen. The ice maker is worthless. Designed terribly, so that it clogs constantly because there is not enough room to dump the ice into the tray, which is useful for only a one person household.

The four doors are excellent. The build quality is very good. The flexibility of the system is nice and the refrigerator features outstanding. The only issue our family has with the refrigerator, which prevents it from being a 5 star choice, is the Samsung Family Hub. Samsung requires you to use their internet app, their assistant, and limits apps on the refrigerator. We the hub to be nice but it's not functional or could be more functional. We use it sparingly but the refrigerator is nice. Our advice, buy the four door unit but not the big screen computer version.

I love our new fridge and all the apps. Hopefully there will be more software updates/fixes/additions to make it work w/iPhone and Wink Hub 2 automation. I have yet to try the ice maker; I hope that it makes more than just 2 glasses as 1 bad review indicated.

SO IN LOVE WITH THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!

Just installed this weekend and haven't accessed everything on the Smart Hub yet but what I have done so far is amazing. I am a jump in and try to figure it out myself and then read the whole manual to learn what I might have missed kind of person. Most of it is pretty easy to figure out and we are loyal Samsung people. Haven't had any connection issues so far which seems to be a complaint from some but we have a router extender to boost our signal through out the house. The speaker for the music apps are not bad at all. You would think a speaker on a refrigerator would be lame but experimented with the volume and was able to hear the music in the hall and up the stairs. Anxious to try the Grub Hub and Insta cart apps but haven't had time yet. White board , messages, calendar , ect are a no brainier to operate. If you know how to use a cell phone you can use these features. Love the Flex zones and able to change the temp from refrigerator to freezer. Even my extremely tech savvy son who rolled his eyes when I first ordered this thinks it pretty cool now :)
